Although New York City belongs to no one, it’s often called the world’s city. Yet there are moments when certain cultures deserve the spotlight.
The Ukrainian Museum in Manhattan, home to one of the largest collections of Ukrainian culture outside its homeland, wanted not only to welcome its own community, but also to share its heritage with all New Yorkers. Day Night Party is a bilingual, one-day-only event that celebrates Ukrainian culture and tradition.
During the day, it’s a family-friendly gathering filled with folk music and arts and crafts. By night, partygoers venture upstairs to a vibrant dance party where guests can connect, celebrate, or yell in solidarity with Ukraine.
The art direction draws inspiration from traditional Ukrainian folk art, Lower East Side and Kyiv punk scenes, and of course the loud, bright, and chaotic character of NYC.
